Hon.Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie is a Ghanaian politician and philanthropist born on September 3, 1969, in Saltpond, Central Region of Ghana. She is married with four children and identifies as a Christian. She has had a distinguished career in public service, including serving as a Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma North constituency and Ghana's Deputy Ambassador to China.
